For a landscape photographer, Montana is a wonderful destination! Just back from a recent visit to this beautiful state, I'm already wanting to return. There were so many varied landscapes available in the area around Bozeman that I didn't have to range far and wide to fill my days. This local ranch just outside of the city was a favorite spot to explore at different time of the day to catch the light in varying locations. In this image, the rolling hills with their corresponding shapes and shadows provide wonderful depth and layering.
