It was such a pleasure on our recent expedition to Africa to see so many animals with babies in tow. When I planned the trip for the fall season in Africa, I was afraid that there wouldn't be many babies because I assumed that they would be born in the springtime like many of our animals in the US. It wasn't long, though, before I was so happy to be wrong on this fact. Our guide informed us that babies in Africa are born all year long, so they ca be seen any time. This baby elephant was only a week old according to locals, and I loved the way he tagged along behind his mama along the banks of the Chobe River.
