Description
For some reason, I'm always fascinated by the street art that I frequently see while traveling in cities around the world. I've noticed that I'm one of very few people in the tour group who cares to take pictures of these unusual artistic pieces that are found on buildings in downtown locations and add so much interest and color to the neighborhood. I found this one in Innsbruck, Austria and loved the contrast, colors, and details of the piece. As far as interpretation, the vast majority of this type of art seems to beg for careful pondering and individual consideration. I'm sure that specific meaning varies with perception and knowledge of the setting and local artist. However, one doesn't have to have any specifics to enjoy and appreciate the impact that it makes upon the city scene. In this city that dates back to 1180, a contemporary painting amidst the old architecture and ancient art throughout the city adds a significant element of enjoyment for visitors.
