Description
Mad King Ludwig II of Bavaria spent his childhood summers at Hohenschwangau, a magical looking castle tucked away in the mountains of Germany. The castle was owned by Ludwig's father, and after his death, it was inherited by the king. Very typical of Bavarian Gothic architecture, the soft yellow castle is quite picturesque against the verdant greens of the mountain countryside and is a favorite tourist attraction of the area.
