Artist's Description
Right outside the boundary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the charming town of Townsend, Tennessee is one of the places that is known of as "the gateway to the Smokies." On my frequent trips to the park, I always drive through Townsend and had gone by this barn set back a ways from the highway in a large field. After taking pictures of the barn from every possible angle, I returned to my car and continued to my destination. Now I can hardly ever pass by this spot without stopping to take at least a few shots.
About Marcy Wielfaert

Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer! My best days are spent in the mountains enjoying God's amazing creation and trying to capture all things nature with my camera. It gives me great joy to use this medium to share the intricacies of...
