It was a very foggy, ethereal like morning in June when my husband and I set out very early for Cove Lake State Park. Since the park is about a 45 minute drive from our home in Knoxville, Tennessee we hoped that by the time we got there the fog would be lifting, as it often does that time of year, and that we'd be in for a good sunrise. Instead of lifting, it was more intense making visibility very poor, but creating a great eerie mood with some interesting fog photography opportunities. Catching a great sunrise is always great, but I ended up being happy that things turned out very differently than we had originally planned!
