Description

My husband and I head to Prince Edward Island once a year, and we usually celebrate my birthday by having dinner at Dalvay-by-the-Sea, a beautiful hotel and restaurant located in an historic home on the north shore. It was built in 1895 by John MacDonald, a wealthy businessman from Scotland. This home was the White Sands Hotel in the Anne of Green Gables mini-series featured on the Disney channel. As you walk in the front door, a huge fireplace welcomes with a crackling warm fire, staving off the cool ocean breeze that is often present.
