Looking like a town straight out of a Charles Dickens novel, the small town of Windsor, located just about an hour outside of London, is home to Windsor Castle, one of the royal residences of the queen of England. My husband and I visited this famous location during the week between Christmas and New Year's, so the holiday decorations were still up in the village as well as the castle. This image is looking back to the center of Windsor from the castle entrance and captures the spirit of the place. Traditional, picturesque, quaint, and very lovely all describe the delightful town that hosts the famous castle.
