Description
Looking like something straight out of a fairy tale, Chateau Chenonceau is located in the Loire Valley region of France on the River Cher. Dubbed "the ladies chateau" because ownership has always been in the hands of ladies, there are a lot of special things about this beautiful castle with its multiple turreted Gothic and Renaissance architecture styles. One really nice feature are the elaborate fresh flower arrangements in every room that are grown on the premises and arranged by a full time flower tender. What a nice touch it adds to the rooms and the delightful fragrances are evident throughout the spacious home. Dating back to at least the 11th century, Chateau Chenonceau has a storied history and receives an estimated 800,000 visitors each year.
