Description
The only time I see cedar waxwings in my area are during the migration periods, fall and spring, although I think they live in other parts of Tennessee year round. This shot was taken on a rainy spring day in Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park last April. I was thrilled to see the waxwings that day...a nice surprise on a rainy day.

I always love seeing Cedar Waxwing, and this is such a beautiful photo of one. I like the backward looking pose, the great background, and the rain is perfect. Nicely done, Marcy.
Marcy Wielfaert replied:
Thanks, Todd! I was so aggravated about the rain that day, but ended up loving many of the shots I took. Now I look at rainy days completely differently.

Great shot
Marcy Wielfaert replied:
Thank you! I was afraid the ones I took in the rain would be in the trash bin, but I ended up liking the fact that the rain was visible.
