Description
It was a great sunny morning on Prince Edward Island in mid September when my husband and I discovered this vibrant patch of sunflowers as we were headed back to the cottage after catching a beautiful sunrise at Stanhope. We stopped to get some photos of the flowers but soon discovered that there were birds among the flowers vying for the seed pods that were full this time of year of delectable birdseed. Blue jays and goldfinches competed as we watched and enjoyed.

Thanks, Karen. I must confess I'm partial to any bird that is blue...my favorite color!
