Description
As we landed in Jackson, Wyoming on a cold, January day, my husband and I felt as if we had been transported into a different world. By the time we claimed our luggage and rental car and were able to get out of the airport parking lot, the snow was falling fast and furious, making visibility difficult. However, because we had been looking forward to this adventure for a long time, we opted to go directly to Grand Teton National Park before checking in to our hotel. It didn't take us very long to realize that we had made a mistake in doing so as we rammed into a snowbank because we were unable to see well enough to navigate. Driving in a white out is difficult and unsafe, so we gave up trying to see the park and headed to the hotel for the day. I grabbed several shots during the snowstorm and love the ethereal, mysterious effect of the ghostlike shapes and shadows along the road.
