Artist's Description
Blarney Castle, a medieval stronghold located in Blarney, near Cork dates back to the early 1200's. On the day I visited, a lone piper stood out in front welcoming visitors with his plaintive bagpipes and setting the stage for what was to come. One of the highlights for most tourists is the kissing of the Blarney Stone, which is said to give all those who participate the gift of gab. I have now been to this iconic destination two times, but haven't felt the need to kiss the famous stone!

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator.
