Description
Just outside the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park is an area known as Tom Miner Basin. While exploring there one afternoon, a very sudden rainstorm came up. It rained so hard that we had to pull off the road and wait it out because visibility was zero. Just as suddenly as it came, the storm moved on and left the most amazing light in its wake. The play of light and shadows on the road just in front of us was mesmerizing. It wasn't long before we enjoyed a rainbow and from that point on, until the sun set, the light couldn't have been nicer for taking landscape images. Although I do love this one in the original color, I also think it's quite special in the black and white conversion.
