Looking across the Lake of Shining Waters, a large white barn sits on the sloping hillside of Park Corner, Prince Edward Island. This is the farm site where Lucy Maud Montgomery's aunt and uncle, John and Annie Campbell lived and the place the author called "Silver Bush" in many of her literary works and referred to the home as her enchanted castle. On the 110 acre site is a museum dedicated to the childhood memorabilia of Montgomery as well as a very nice gift shop, and carriage rides. Still owned by the Campbell family by descendants of John and Annie who settled here in 1776.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
