Probably most famous for being the site of the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer that was viewed around the world, St. Paul's Cathedral sits atop Ludgate Hill and is the highest spot in London. It is an Anglican church and the mother church of the diocese of London. The current church, built in the English Baroque style, dates back to the late 17th century, but the first church built on this same site was founded in AD 604. The dome, at 365 feet high, is among the highest in the world. The church is one of the most famous and recognizable sights in London.
