A few weeks ago, I set out to find barns in the surrounding area that would be good for some rural photography. Little did I know that I would become totally hooked on barn scenes and that there would be some many to capture! What fun I've had exploring my local countryside, and I feel like I've just seen the tip of the iceberg. This sweet little barn was spotted just outside of Birchwood, Tennessee in McMinn County, Set back from the road with lovely trees and a lush pasture in front, taking pictures here was one of the easier locations. No high weeds, ticks, annoying insects, or snakes to get in my way! If only they were all this photographer friendly...
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
