Description
Just a few hours after hurricane Dorian moved out to sea and left Prince Edward Island in its wake, my husband and I, along with many others, were out and about to see how the storm had affected the island. It was still very overcast and windy, and the ocean was turbulent and roiling. The north shore between Cavendish and Rustico was the first place we stopped, and this image was taken there. Many trees toppled, roofs blown off, old barns blown over, and flooding in certain areas showed graphic evidence of the ravaging storm, but yet the island honestly never looked more beautiful than this rugged scene that day after the hurricane on the north shore! (This image has been digitally enhanced from my original photography to achieve a painterly presentation.)
