Oh, how I loved the city of Lisbon, Portugal! Until my visit there, I had never visited a city with so much mosaic tile on the exterior of buildings. This photo is typical of the colorful homes and commercial buildings throughout the city. Many of these structures are ancient with a rich history, but the vibrant colors project a freshness that is deceptive. Patterns and colors everywhere...my kind of place! I might add that the people of Portugal were so incredibly warm and welcoming that it made us wish we had much more time to discover more about this Iberian treasure.
