Description
"The Sinks" is a popular spot in Great Smoky Mountains National Park along the Little River scenic route through the park. Located 12 miles west of the Sugarlands Visitors Center, the Little River makes an S turn, creating pools of water on both sides of the river that are outlined by huge river boulders. Considered one of the more picturesque locations in the park and easily accessible because it's right off the road, The Sinks is a great picnic spot or place to get out of the car and just enjoy the sound of the rushing mountain water for a break on a hot summer day.
