A band of approximately 160 wild mustangs can be found at the top of Pryor Mountain in Montana during the summer. Although the mountain is steep and almost impossible to navigate, if you have an appropriate vehicle and a lot of patient endurance, it is doable and well worth the effort. It took our rugged truck 2 1/2 hours to travel just over 12 miles in this rugged terrain, but the end result was totally a magical experience. As we finally arrived at the summit, these four horses were the first sight we saw, almost as if they were the welcoming committee. Our guide said that these four are known as "the bachelors." All four are young stallions currently looking for a mate!

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
