Description
Wandering the rural roads of southwestern Montana on a recent adventure, my husband and I discovered that every little town on the map seems to have one of these distinctively shaped granaries and an adjacent grain bin. This one was in Norris, a small village about 25 miles outside of Bozeman. I loved the color version of this image, but when I experimented a bit with an infrared/black and white alternative, I actually liked it even more! It seems the textures and contrasts are more evident and it just seems to really suit this type of photo.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
