It had been raining, so my husband and I were having a "car picnic" trying to wait it out. We were paying more attention to our food than what was going on outside when I looked up and out the back window to see this incredible rainbow! It was unusual, I thought, because on one side the sky was still so dark, just as it had been during the storm, but on the other side the most beautiful light was shining through the clouds. We quickly forgot about what we were eating, grabbed our cameras, and jumped outside to capture the moment. I love it when nature surprises us like this!
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
