Driving the back roads of Prince Edward Island on a sunny September afternoon. I noticed a display of antique tractors, farm implements, wagons, and sleighs in the front year of an old farm house. Looking like they had been put there for the enjoyment of all, I decided to stop and take a closer look. Although all of the pieces were interesting and I enjoyed seeing the relics of the past, this little wheelbarrow was by far my favorite. I didn't even see it until I was on my way back to the car because it was the smallest of everything there. I had never seen a wooden wheelbarrow and loved the weathered, textured look. Sitting on top propped us as if just waiting for a photograph were the garden hand tools that made the composition for this image complete.
