It was a sleepy Saturday in February, and the students at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee had a wonderful surprise outside when they awoke. It was entertaining to be on campus taking a few winter photos when the later sleepers began to emerge from the dorms amid squeals and whoops of joy as they reveled in a rare snowfall in this southern city. It was only a few minutes before a couple came into the view through my lens and began building a snowman on the lawn of the chapel where I was trying to get some winter landscapes. Later, as I looked at the photos, I was actually glad to have that little scene in the corner of this image!
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
