Looking down from Chapman's Peak situated high above Noordhoek Beach near Cape Town, South Africa, a lone horse and rider could barely be seen riding though the expansive white sand. They had the beach to themselves, and although it was chilly and windy I'm sure the ride must have been a great one as they made their way from one end of the vast beach to the other. It's a very simple photo, but I love the monochromatic tones and soft greens with the tiny silhouette of the adventurers enjoying a late fall afternoon ride.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
