Description
The Henry Whitehead cabin is located a short ways down Forge Creek Road off the main loop road of Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. Back from the road in a clearing backed by woods, this log cabin is a personal favorite among the eleven historic structures maintained by the National Park Service. The front porch and yard is a wonderful picnic spot where my family once celebrated Mothers Day because we just happened to arrive when no one had claimed the favorite spot. My original photograph has been digitally enhanced to achieve a painterly presentation.
