Description
There are many kinds of photography that I enjoy, but more and more I'm getting to the point where I love landscapes best. And I must say that the Grand Tetons are pretty near the top of my list for great scenic opportunities! Unfortunately, when this image was taken, I only had one day in the park, so I covered as much as I could in the time allotted. One of my favorite spots was this vantage point overlooking the Snake River with the major peaks of the mountains in the distance. It's not only a great view, but it happens to be the location where Ansel Adams took his famous black and white shot of the Snake River. Although the trees have grown considerably since the day that shot was taken and the river itself is not nearly as visible as it was for Mr. Adams, it was fun to figure out my own take on this one!
