While visiting Prince Edward Island, we experienced our first hurricane when Dorian came through during the first week of September, 2019. High winds and rain pelted Canada's smallest province all night and into the next day while residents and vacationers huddled in their homes and cottages wondering what things would look like after the storm. The next day, my husband and I got out, along with many others, to see the damage. With many trees down and power outages all over the island, it was refreshing to see the beautiful north shore was still as picturesque as ever with a dramatic sky and lapping waves in Doyle's Cove, near Rustico Beach.

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
