Love this view from Horseshoe Park overlooking the distant valley in the Fall River area of Rocky Mountain National Park. My husband and I visited Colorado in January, despite cautions and concern from some who just knew that we needed to wait until a better time and season. It was a great experience for us, and we loved the opportunity to photograph the beauty of winter in this outstanding setting. The view in this image is probably my personal favorite of all the vistas in the park. The valley in the distance is frequented by herds of elk in early morning and late afternoon.
