While riding on a bus en route from Swaziland to Johannesburg, South Africa, I chose to pass the time poised with my camera determined to get a shot or two out the window. Most of my fellow travelers had opted to nap, but I was way too excited about my trip to Africa to consider sleeping. When I saw this little white church come on the scene, I knew it would be a picture I would love if I happened to have my settings right and could adequately make the capture as the bus sped along the highway. It's always somewhat of an experiment and a test in patience, but I did like the end result. Unfortunately, when I photograph under these circumstances, it's impossible to know much about my subject, but then that's part of the fun. Therefore, the very general title "Church Along the Road!"
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
