Description
The building of Captaincy General of Seville is integrated into the rear of the Plaza of Spain, an elegant historicist style building designed by Aníbal González in 1914 and opened fourteen years later, in 1928, overlooking the Great American Exhibition.
The area in front of the building is designated as the Plaza of the Army, and the entrance is accessed by a magnificent open foyer, through a portico of three arches. Seville is an exceptionally beautiful city, and this is just one example of the amazing architecture there that made me feel like I had been transported to a totally different world. My original photograph has been digitally enhanced to create a painterly presentation and add texture.
