Description
It was so interesting to observe this lone elephant along the banks of the Chobe River as he picked up his food with his trunk, swished it in the water, and then shook it wildly before swallowing. Mouthful after mouthful, the ritual was repeated as the people aboard our boat watched in wonder. Chobe National Park is certainly a treasure and is brimming with all kinds of wildlife, but the elephant population is largest than any other animal. It was astounding how many we saw during our two day visit there and how much we learned about these magnificent creatures. I've only been back home in Tennessee one week, and I'm already trying to figure out how we can go back as soon as possible...it really was that great!
