The charming village of Bellagio was our destination, and my husband and I awoke to pouring rain and threatening skies! However, we learned long ago that when we're traveling, it does no good whatsoever to fret about the weather, so we donned our hooded ponchos, grabbed our umbrellas and cameras, and boarded the ferry. Bellagio is located on a promontory jutting out into Lake Como in the Lombardy region of Italy. It is an ancient medieval city oozing with old world appeal. It did, in fact, rain the entire time we were there, but we enjoyed a cozy cafe for a memorable cappuccino and darted from awning to awning and doorway to doorway, managing to keep our cameras dry under our ponchos. Although we certainly didn't take as many photos as we would have with better conditions, i was actually very happy with our rainy day images, and despite coming back to the hotel somewhat drenched, it was a very good day.
Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
