Looking down on the city of Assisi on an early spring morning, Basilica of St. Francis catches the golden light of dawn and stands out as a beacon among the very hazy skies of the city. It's difficult to visit the country of Italy and not totally fall in love with it. My husband and I have been blessed to visit on three occasions and are holding out hope that another visit might be in our future.
