Description
Last spring, my husband and I embarked on a trip to Spain with a tour group, and we were excited as we looked forward to visiting this country rich in history and culture. We noticed that there was a two day visit to Lisbon, Portugal as part of the itinerary, and we didn't really think that much about it because our thoughts were focused on Spain. What an incredible surprise was in store! Lisbon was wonderful, and our only regret was that we didin't have more time in Portugal. The country is scenic, and the people incredibly welcoming and warm. Lots of things to love, but a significant one for me was the amazing colors and patterns of tiles sprinkled everywhere throughtout this amazing capitol city. These side by side twin doors are an example of the exterior of a home downtown Lisbon that has tile on its exterior walls with bright, coordinating woodwork. With the blocks of deep color on the doors, the vertical lines of the tile patterns, and the aged walls pulling it all together, this image makes a great decor item.

Not to everyone's taste, I'm sure, but I love doors! Thanks for the feature, Pamela.
