Description
On our most recent trip to Prince Edward Island, my husband and I almost came home early due to Hurricane Dorian. We decided to ride it out, though, and ended up being very happy that we did. Both of us are photographers, and although it wasn't easy being without power for four days, it did give us many opportunities to take some amazing pictures of dramatic skies and turbulent waters that we otherwise wouldn't have gotten. This image, taken along the north shore of Canada's smallest province, was actually three days after the hurricane moved out to sea, but the skies were still fabulous. Hurricane Dorian actually caused me to love Prince Edward Island even more than I already did. The resilience and care of the people was something to behold, and there's just something about going through a natural disaster together that binds us together. Once again, we were so very thankful that we didn't cut our trip short!
